Or, together, we'll decide which varieties and quantities are best for you specifically based on your needs, goals, and palette. Imagine weekly flats of vibrant, organic microgreens fortified for iron, sulforaphane, protein, polyphenols/antioxidants, Vitamins or Minerals.

The following methods are used to personalize the grow cycle for your microgreens and sprouts. Please contact me to discuss your needs and pricing for personal grows.

  • using a grow medium amended with purpose
  • specialized nutrients will promote nutrient density and diversity
  • lighting is a major influence on plant nutrient profiles; I use three different types of LED grow lights for various wavelengths and intensities
  • The water used for growing your microgreens is from the Vallecito Creek watershed and pH balanced at different rates throughout the grow cycle

Taste and texture is always central to producing high-quality microgreens that you will love eating. So I can sometimes modify flavor for bold or milder experiences.

My deepest intent here is to sustainably and year-round grow fresh, nutrient-rich produce for myself and those in my community that resonate with this project.

'The project' is about optimizing the synergy between ancient and modern cultural food wisdom, scientific evidence on microgreen nutrient compounds and most importantly, your personal nutritional and performance needs.

Salad bases from micros are exponentially more nutrient rich than using lettuce and mature vegetables!

Sprouts, Avocado, Apple Walnut Salad

Here is a simple and delicious salad that includes two servings of sprouts:

  • VMF Mung Bean Sprouts
  • VMF Red Lentil Sprouts
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1/2 lightly sweet red Apple
  • Handful of crushed walnuts
  • 2 Tbl pure EVOO
  • 1 Tbl lime juice
  • season (s/p) to taste
